Who are ‘time to talk’™?
Speech and Language Therapists from South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust deliver ‘time to talk’™:
Louise Perry completed a BSc (hons) in Speech and Language Pathology at the University of Strathclyde in 2005. Following a jaunt around the world to explore some distant countries, Louise settled in Warwickshire working at South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust as a Preschool Speech and Language Therapist. Louise has a passion for supporting the youngest children develop their early communication skills and this brought her into the ‘time to talk™’ team in 2010. She was involved with ‘time to talk’™ for 7 years before returning to her clinical role. After recently returning from her third maternity leave, Louise has joined the ‘time to talk™’ team again to implement the strategy across Warwickshire.
Alice Goode started working with the South Warwickshire University NHS Foundation Trust, Speech & Language Therapy team as an assistant in 2008. She undertook her degree alongside this role and gained her BSc (hons) in Speech and Language Therapy from Birmingham City University in 2015. She has worked with both adults and children of all ages during this time, which has fuelled her dedication to ensuring that support for those presenting with Speech, Language and Communication needs are available at each step in an individual’s life. Having previously collaborated with the team on specific projects, Alice officially joined the ‘time to talk™’ team in 2022. Alice is excited to be able to support implementation of the ‘time to talk™’ strategy, with a focus on early support for the development of communication skills within the youngest members of our Warwickshire community.
Some ‘time to talk’™ training sessions are delivered by other members of the pre-school therapy team including: Elizabeth Roche, Sarah Adams, Alex Moss, Jo Rice, Sophie Lissaman and Kate Clements.
