‘time to talk’™ training equips practitioners with the knowledge and skills that they need to support young children’s SLC development. Sessions are interactive and engaging, making use of video, group activities and taught theory.

Tier 1 is an introduction to communication and strategies to help support young children
Tier 2offers in-depth study of children’s communication development. This is for selected practitioners who have completed Tier 1 training.
Tier 3 offers preparation for running targeted language enrichment groups, and WellComm screening. This is for practitioners who have completed Tier 2 training and is the completion of training for a Speech and Language Champion.
Bitesize is our new short and practical sessions for anyone who has completed Tier 1 training. These cover a wide range of ‘current’ topics and dive a little deeper into the practicalities of how to support children in these areas. Topics include: Speech Sounds, Stammering, Neurodivergent communicators, Selective Mutism, Being Bilingual, Beyond words (AAC), Observation skills. ‘chatter matters’ trainingenables practitioners to offer language enrichment sessions for babies, toddlers and young children (0-2 years) based around singing, storytelling and play. Please complete a bespoke enquiry form in the brochure below.

Cluster Meetings are our termly opportunity for Speech and Language Champions and their managers to connect with the ‘time to talk’ team for updates on projects and ideas on sustaining the implementation of the ‘time to talk’ strategy. Tier 3 in Practice (for practitioners who have completed Tier 3 and are implementing it in their setting) offers revision of the main learning points from Tier 3 and an opportunity to reflect on the implementation of this in your setting.
